Other Online Workshops

Virtual Easter Recorder Course presented by Recorders-for-All March 19-24, 2021 - During these six days you'll have the opportunity to try many of the things which work better online. Take risks: try out new fingerings or ornaments; go for those high notes; play all the parts and get to know the whole piece; play a sonata with keyboard; experience playing a 1:1 duet with a tutor. Presenters include Andrew Collis, Ruth Burbidge, Annabel Knight, Julie Dean, Annemarie Klein, Chris Orton, and Pam Smith. There will be four 75 minute sessions each day. £15 per day, £90 for six days.

Columbia Gorge Early Music Retreat Online March 20-21, 2021

Amherst Early Music, Spring Break Workshop March 20-21, 2021 - Two class periods each day, with a Composers’ Forum, an all-workshop playing session, and a Faculty Concert. Recorder faculty includes Saskia Coolen, Frances Blaker, Tish Berlin, and Tom Beets.

National Youth Recorder Orchestras Easter Online 2021 April 6-9, 2021 - Four days with our regular NYRO tutors full of specially arranged and recorded music, technique tips and other fun activities. There will be three or four hours of group tuition per day and the opportunity to socialise before or after the tuition sessions. For ages 8-25. Whole course £120; one day £35.

Whitewater Early Music Festival June 5-6, 2021 - Two days with a gifted faculty of recorder, early winds, voice and viola da gamba instructors. There will be music for recorders of all shapes and sizes, historic double reeds, violas da gamba, voices and maybe some bagpiping! All instruments are welcome in all classes. Players of all levels welcome. There will be special classes for advanced beginners. Register for eight 75 minute sessions over two days US$75, or, for four 75 minutes sessions on one day US$40.

Mountain Collegium Early Music and Folk Music Workshop, June 27–July 2, 2021 - Participants will have the option to attend single classes (one meeting); series classes (classes that meet two or more times); Big Blow and Bow; Folk Lectures; and MORE as workshop plans develop.

Columbia Baroque Online Summer Recorder Institute Mondays, July 6-27, 2021 - Please join us for our twelfth annual summer master classes for Baroque recorder players meeting four consecutive Monday evenings beginning July 6. Sessions will feature recorder duets by G. P. Telemann, Jacques Hotteterre, Giuseppi Sammartini, and more. US$40.
