BCRS Past and Present
The BCRS was the brainchild of Dr Frank Gamble, a professor of Music Education at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. It was founded in 1962 and had its first meeting in 1963. Since then, it has had an unbroken series of monthly meetings and workshops every year from September to May/June. This remarkable record owes its success to many things.
