Composed for 'The Planets' Feet'

Did I mention we live on a planet?
It’s almost as warlike as Mars,
And not quite as sexy as Venus,
Though we definitely have the most cars.
For jollity, Jupiter beats us.
Neptune’s more mystic for cert.
Saturn’s got rings, Mercury wings
But our globe is covered in dirt.
Now, some dirt is good;
It lets our plants grow.
But p’llution in peril has dropped us.
The answer, perhaps,
To stave off collapse:
Get a kind Roman god to adopt us!
