Michael Jarvis, acclaimed as one of Canada’s finest harpsichordists, fortepianists and continuo players, has performed across Canada, the USA, England, Italy and Bermuda. He has worked with many of Canada's finest singers and is in demand as a coach and collaborative artist.  Michael has taught at the University of British Columbia, the University of Toronto and elsewhere.  He is also Director of Music at St. Jude's Parish and Shrine in Vancouver, BC and is on faculty as harpsichordist and vocal coach at the Early Music Vancouver Summer Baroque Vocal Programme "The Compleat Singer."  Michael was co-host and star of the television series "Come into the Parlour", broadcast nationally on Bravo TV and Vision. Recent performances have included in February, a programme with Paul Luchkow of fortepiano and violin sonatas by Hummel, Dussek and Beethoven on an original Broadwood grand fortepiano from 1813 at the Jazz Cellar, and in March the inaugural recital of his newly-restored 6 1/2 Viennese Grand fortepiano from 1832 with the brilliant baritone Joshua Hopkins in a programme of Lieder by Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, and Mendelssohn (for Early Music Vancouver).

Well known to the musical world in Vancouver, David Skulski was appointed solo English horn with the Vancouver Symphony at the age of 17. After leaving the VSO he played with the CBC Radio Orchestra and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Xalapa (Mexico). After returning to Canada, because of his interest in historical music, he founded Early Music Vancouver, The Towne Waytes (renaissance band) and Harmonie (18th century wind ensemble) and helped establish other early music ensembles.  He has been Resident-in-Music at Simon Fraser University and has taught renaissance music in Austria. Currently he is principal oboist with the Vancouver Philharmonic and on the faculty of the Pacific Coast School of Music, the Richmond Music School and the Mozart School of Music.

A multi-faceted musician, Stacey Boal teaches recorder, violin and viola at the Victoria Conservatory of Music, and plays the viola in the Victoria Symphony. In addition, she has taught at WCAMS summer camp, and led recorder workshops in Victoria, Nanaimo, Sechelt, Kelowna and Edmonton. Stacey has played recorder with the VS and in Pacific Opera productions. Stacey was born in Revelstoke and went to high school in North Vancouver. She is a graduate of Carson Graham and the UBC School of Music (B.Mus. '72). She has studied with Martha Bixler, Kenneth Wollitz, Michel Piguet and Judy Linsenberg.  Currently, she is arranging new works for recorder orchestra and developing a recorder, harpsichord and violin programme for school outreach concerts. Despite her advanced years, she anticipates every opportunity to learn more about playing the recorder and leading ensembles.

Nathan Wilkes has extensive experience in both early and modern music. He holds bachelor and doctoral degrees in trombone performance (Oberon Conservatory, University of British Columbia) and has appeared with a variety of ensembles throughout North America, including the Vancouver Symphony.  As a specialist in music of the renaissance and early baroque, he has performed on baroque trombone with groups such as Concerto Palatino and has taught at the Vancouver Early Music Workshop.

Dawn Haylett went to a one-week horn camp in high school that was run by an inspirational teacher named Richard Ely, the horn professor at the University of Victoria.  That experience and an amazing band trip to Europe, were the catalysts that led to a career in music and teaching.  Dawn has been a member of the Victoria Symphony, Vancouver Island Symphony, played extensively with the Vancouver Symphony, Vancouver Opera, and continues to work regularly as a freelance horn player with orchestras, early music groups (natural horn), and jazz ensembles.  She has recorded CDs of chamber music (Corno Dulciana; Christmas Favourites with Four Horns; Oregon Symphony Horns and Friends), with a jazz ensemble (Intrada), and orchestral recordings, in addition to a wide range of radio broadcasts and commercial recordings.  Dawn is also a trained Orff teacher, and is a full-time music specialist teaching music to Grades 1 to 4 and band at York House School in Vancouver, B.C

Pat Unruh
, vielle, performs, researches and arranges programmes for West Coast medieval choirs (Ensemble Tonus Peregrinus, Ensemble Laude), and lectures in medieval music history.  Pat has an M.A. in Medieval Music History and Bachelor’s degrees in Music, and in English Language and Literature from Canada and the UK.  Also a viola da gamba player, Pat is music director for the period dance-and theatre-group Historical Performance Society of Greater Vancouver, performs Renaissance pops with her ensemble Light o’ Love and plays with numerous local early musicians.  She has taught and performed in the Vancouver Early Music Festival and has been recorded on national radio (CBC)

Liz Hamel is a singer, loves to play the recorder and is a passionate interpreter of early and contemporary music. Liz has performed as a recorder player with the Pacific Baroque Orchestra, the Burney ensemble, the CBC Radio Orchestra, and Festival Vancouver. Liz is active as a voice clinician, as a recorder coach, and as a Juno-nominated producer.  She teaches recorder at the WCAMS summer camp, where she is director, and has been a faculty member and performer at the Vancouver Early Music Programme and Festival. Liz holds a B. Mus. (UBC), B.N. (Dalhousie), and a diploma from Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology.
